Some stories refuse to stay buried.
A tarot card pulled me back into a mystery from years ago.
A woman alone in a boat.
An eerie dark lake.
A song whispering, “I wanna do bad things to you.”
And a story I once called The Lake Girl.
Back then, it came through in pieces.
Warnings.
Choices.
Consequences.
An omen.
I thought the story was over.
Then the card appeared.
Then the song returned.
And suddenly, I wasn’t so sure.
What if the danger was never chasing her?
What if she was slowly being drawn toward it?
Choice by choice.
Compromise by compromise.
Until the darkness no longer felt dangerous.
It felt familiar.
For the next seven days, I’m going back to the lake.
Piece by piece.
Clue by clue.

Real transformation happens one choice, one lesson, and one day at a time.
